World Cup Fever at the Beckett Day Unit
The Warrington Later Life and Memory Service outpatient waiting area has been transformed to embrace the World Cup and the vibrant display is encouraging conversation amongst visitors. The team has nominated a World Cup Champion who is taking his role of updating the group stage chart seriously - thank you Andy!

Car parking
Please can all staff make sure they are using designated marked parking spaces when parking on Trust sites. Poor parking can lead to delays with an urgent call outs if paramedics are unable to park safely.

Estates and Facilities Day Awards
As well as 100 percent attendance and 100 percent training compliance awards, the FMA team marked Estates and Facilities Day with ‘Unsung Hero - Going the Extra Smile’ and FMA Choice awards - both won by Wayne Sweeney. His team said, “Wayne goes above and beyond every day, nothing is ever too much, and he does everything with a smile.

New era for community care in West Lancashire

National award recognises neighbourhood partnership working
Work involving Mersey Care has been recognised nationally, winning the Neighbourhood Health award at the NHS Confederation Excellence Awards. The submission focused on the link between health and housing and improving respiratory health through our integrated care teams. It also showcased our Telehealth Service. X-ray service at Kirkby UTC is now fully operational
The NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group has updated x-ray facilities at Kirkby Urgent Treatment Centre (St Chads). The installation was successful and the service is fully available for patients to access as normal. For any queries, contact xray.callcentre@liverpoolft.nhs.uk

New LGBTQ+ Suicide Awareness Training
The Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA), in partnership with Liverpool City Council, launched new LGBTQ+ Suicide Awareness Training as part of Pride month. The course is designed to help people feel more confident supporting people who are LGBTQ+ and who may be struggling. Take the training here.

New desktop icons for Loop, Optima (eRoster) and SafeCare
From Wednesday, 17 June 2026, new desktop icons will be introduced. No action is needed and there’s no change to how these systems operate. Please continue to access them as normal, where relevant to your role. More information on YourSpace.
Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service referrals
Important information for managers making a referral to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service via OPAS G2 (Civica Occupational Health) is on YourSpace. Please read and check you have completed all steps. Information is also available for staff who are being referred.
New outcome measures on Rio
Two new outcome measures are now available within the CYPIAPT folder on Rio. These are the Child Post Traumatic Cognitions Inventory (CPTCI) v3 and the Child Post Traumatic Cognitions Inventory (CPTCI-S). You can access the new measures by clicking into CYP IAPT and then choosing ‘Presenting Difficulties’ from the Case Record menu.

Our Homeless Health Team was proud to attend St Helens Pride, standing alongside the community to celebrate inclusion, diversity and equality. Caring for our Carers: Carers Week

Adult weight management support launched in Knowsley
Mersey Care was successfully awarded the contract to deliver the Healthy Knowsley Service for adults and pregnant people, a service commissioned by Knowsley Council. The service will provide tailored support for people looking to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, strengthening the offer of health and wellbeing support in Knowsley. New Mersey Care study aims to improve treatment for borderline personality disorder
We’ve launched an exciting new study called QUEST which aims to improve treatment for borderline personality disorder (BPD). QUEST will examine whether Quetiapine, a commonly prescribed medication for schizophrenia and major depressive disorder, can also help treat BPD. Learn more on our website.
