Sending large files using email has proved difficult for a number of years due to email and internet restrictions. Data Send UK provides an easy and secure way for staff to transfer large files to where they are needed. Files are uploaded to the system and stored.  The recipient is then sent an email containing a link to download and save the files to their desired location. Files with a total size of 4096MB or 4GB can be transferred securely in one transfer using this solution.

NB. The recipient will have only seven days to download and save the files, during which time they can be downloaded up to ten times.  After the seven days, the uploaded files are deleted from the storage servers and will no longer be available.

The Trust has approved the use of Data Send based on its security and compliance with GDPR.  Services wishing to setup their own account should contact the Procurement Team in the first instance. You will require the company credit card details.  The account can then be created using Data Send's Pay-Online facility.
