Dear all,
On behalf of myself and the rest of the leadership team, we wanted to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks for the relentless commitment you have shown, and continue to show throughout this pandemic.
Despite a background of increasing COVID-19 infection rates and the Trust remaining in a Level 4 incident, we are truly heartened and proud of you all, for your stoic efforts. Whether that’s on the frontline working extremely hard to keep services safe for patients, in corporate services or in a leadership position helping to coordinate our response to the current wave of this disease.
The impact of the pandemic, now combined with winter pressures, is having an unprecedented strain on our services and the wider health care system. It’s therefore fantastic to see staff coming forward wanting to help across other areas to cover gaps at very short notice. By doing so you are ensuring essential services remain operational and safe for patients.
Vaccination continues to be our best defence against this virus. For those staff who are yet to have their vaccines – first, second or booster COVID-19 vaccines, and/or flu, please visit the Vaccination Centre at Maghull Health Park which you can book into by using the link.
We are seeing the growing impact this is having on people’s mental health and wellbeing. During this unsettling time, it’s vital that we look after one another and know where to go for support and advice.
If you need any support, in the first instance you should always speak with your line manager. In addition there is our Staff Wellbeing Hub and the Cheshire and Merseyside Resilience Hub.
Your combined efforts are humbling to see and makes me very proud to work with you all. We’re hoping the current pressure is relatively short lived so we can get through the next few weeks.
