Our low secure learning disability site in Maghull has marked 12 months since opening to service users in style!
Aspen Wood, which was completed in late 2023 on time and on budget, received its first patients a year ago following a period of staff training and site familiarisation. People there toasted the anniversary with cake, music and a celebration of great care at a very special event last week.
People from Hodder and Mitton Wards gathered in in the sports hall for a special buffet and party. The former head of service Julia Musker and a range of staff made sure that service users were able to take centre stage in sharing how their care has been delivered, talking about their journeys and the support they have received. Although, it's fair to say some time was set aside for certain leads to perform dubious pop karaoke!
