During national Carers week on Tuesday, 10 June 2025, we held the launch of our new Staff Carers Network. Around 20 colleagues attended, from across the Trust.
We had a presentation from our Carer Engagement team on the work they undertake, resources and signposting, and also around identifying, who is a Carer? Our Staff Wellbeing team provided an overview of the services they provide. This was followed be a presentation around stress. Members had an opportunity to introduce themselves and suggested themes for future meetings were discussed, to round up this interactive and engaging meeting.
Following the success of this, it has been decided that the Staff Carers Network will meet on a monthly basis and the frequency of these meetings will be reviewed once we are more established.
The next meeting will be on Monday, 28 July 2025, from 1.00 to 2.30pm on MS Teams.
