Wellbeing at Work: Shaped by what you told us
World Wellbeing Week (22–26 June 2026) is a moment to pause and reflect on wellbeing at Mersey Care and to recognise how our approach continues to be shaped by staff voice. Feedback from the 2025 Health Needs Assessment highlighted the pressures many colleagues face, including stress, physical strain and financial concerns, and the impact these can have on wellbeing at work.
Sean Leahy, Chief People Officer and Wellbeing Guardian, has reinforced that wellbeing is not an optional extra, but an essential part of how we work, lead and care for one another. When staff feel supported and well, it benefits individuals, teams and the care we provide every day. Wellbeing matters because our people matter.
In response to what colleagues have told us, wellbeing continues to be embedded across the Trust taking a whole settings and whole person approach. World Wellbeing Week is an opportunity to reflect, start conversations and remind ourselves that looking after wellbeing is something we should all feel able to do, for this week and all year round.
Together, we can make Mersey Care a healthier, more supportive place to work for everyone
