Ten out of ten for the Mersey Care Dental Service from the British Dental Association Good Practice Scheme

Mersey Care Dental Service has received confirmation from the British Dental Association (BDA) that re-application for membership of the BDA Good Practice scheme for a further three years in its ten clinics across Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley has been successful.

Each of the ten Mersey Care sites was assessed independently and required to provide a portfolio of evidence to be submitted against a selection of Good Practice Scheme requirements which were then reviewed by a BDA Good Practice Assessor.

Helen Sayer, Dental Clinical Director said:

“The continued achievement of this standard ensures our service has processes embedded within it that drive the maintenance of high standards of clinical care. Through external assessment we demonstrate a clear and public commitment to quality assurance for the benefit of our patients and our service. The BDA Good Practice Assessment process provides an excellent framework for ongoing monitoring of quality standards of our service.

I am extremely proud of our Dental Service and staff for this achievement and for the contribution that every member of the team has made towards achieving this continued accreditation.”
