Please check eligibility criteria below.
Due to high infection rates and in order to further protect you, your family, our patients and service users, the Trust has taken the decision to extend the offer of free Flu vaccinations to adult family members residing at the same address.
The Flu vaccination will only be available at the Maghull Health Park Vaccination Centre, for adults over 18 years of age, by appointment via this link: Book your Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations :: YourSpace Mersey Care – please use your Trust email for your family member’s booking.
To be eligible for the Flu vaccine, the adult family member will need to meet one of the following criteria and reside in the same household as the Mersey Care employee:
- all pregnant women (including those women who become pregnant during the influenza season)
- individuals aged 65 years or over (including those becoming age 65 years by 31 March 2025)
- individuals aged 18 years to under 65 years in a clinical risk group such as chronic asthma, COPD, heart disease etc.
- household contacts of immunocompromised individuals, specifically individuals who expect to share living accommodation on most days over the winter and, therefore, for whom continuing close contact is unavoidable
- carers: those who are in receipt of a carer’s allowance, or who are the main carer of an older or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill
- frontline healthcare staff without employer-led occupational health schemes, such as care home workers
Please note as the vaccination centre is on a secure site, children under the age of 18 years old should not attend in any circumstances and, where possible, the family member should arrive alone and park directly outside the vaccination centre in the designated spaces. Please check and abide with all signage whilst on site.
