Sally Bond, Deputy Director of NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) and Animesh Mathur, FDP Demand and Delivery lead, visited Cheshire and Merseyside to discuss the progress of two digital products. One visit focused on MaST Inpatient (Management and Supervision Tool) and included colleagues from Mental Health Care Division, Organisational Effectiveness, Centre for Perfect Care, Allied Health Professionals and Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP).
Discussions centred on co-production, testing and shaping the inpatient tool with our business use cases. Sally and Animesh also had a demo of MaST Community and were impressed by the transformational impact that this solution has had in mental health services. They are keen to replicate this success with other national products.
They also visited CWP to see their Crisis Care Co-ordination Tool, a key part of the Mental Health Incubator Programme. Following successful development at CWP, the tool is now set to be piloted in two other mental health trusts. This success story demonstrates our ability to create products that improve care in mental health trusts across the country.
Sally and Animesh met with practitioners and operational leads from the urgent response service and learned about the challenges faced before the tool's implementation. They were impressed with how the tool has improved life for clinicians and service users and are eager to leverage CWP's expertise as the solution is tested in other trusts.
