Compliment of the week: Andy Halligan, Autism Practitioner, Autism Intensive Support Team was recently thanked by a relative:

“We would like to thank Andy whose exceptional dedication and compassionate approach has made a profound difference to our family. Over a number of years, we have engaged with various mental health services, facing ongoing challenges in achieving consistent engagement and meaningful progress. However, since Andy became involved, there has been a noticeable and positive shift. His ability to build trust, respond proactively, and tailor support to individual needs has led to improved outcomes and a renewed sense of hope. What sets Andy apart is his holistic approach - not only supporting my partner but also recognising the importance of engaging with the wider family network. His responsiveness, empathy, and practical problem solving have helped to stabilise situations and reduce the risk of crisis. Andy is a breath of fresh air, his warmth, adaptability, and genuine care has not only improved engagement but has also demonstrated how thoughtful, person centred care can transform lives. if we could, create ‘mini Andys’ - I genuinely believe the entire country’s mental health services would see a dramatic positive transformation”.

Well done Andy - your insight and approach exemplify the values we strive for at Mersey Care.
