We are loving receiving your photos from this year’s Step into Summer Challenge!

It’s great to know so many of you are getting out and about to clock up your steps and work together to achieve a month’s worth of walking during National Walking Month!

Walking improves wellbeing in many ways – physically, emotionally and neurologically – with even short walks having a measurable effect on mood, stress attention and nervous system regulation. Every step really does count!

While we don’t have a leaderboard to reveal this week, we wanted to share a few photos and let you know that so far, we’ve collectively walked 40 million steps together – which is like walking almost all the way around the earth at the equator – just wow!

Submitting your next steps 

If you haven’t done so already, you can submit your week 3 steps (18 to 24 May) using the link below, or if you prefer, you can submit them at the same time as submitting your week 4 steps (25 to 31 May). Due to the unforeseen technical glitch earlier this week, the step submission form below will accept steps for both weeks and will remain open until 10am, Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
