Uniform and Workwear Policy and Bare Below the Elbow
As part of our renewed focus on Improving Professional Standards, we are strengthening our approach to infection prevention and control. Compliance with Bare Below the Elbow (BBE) standards is a key part of delivering safe, high‑quality patient care.
We have updated our Uniform Policy to make expectations clearer, and we are asking all colleagues working in clinical environments to fully adhere to BBE requirements at all times. Senior clinical leaders will be supporting this work locally and undertaking regular audits, with a shared aim of achieving 100% BBE compliance by the end of July.
