Question: I can’t see any bookable shifts on LOOP, how do I regain access?
Answer: There are several reasons why shifts may not be visible on LOOP:
- You may be approaching the 60-hour Working Time Directive (WTD) limit. If this is the case, you will be unable to book additional shifts until your average working hours reduce.
- Shifts that overlap with any existing bookings will not be displayed.
- If you are booked onto a night shift, you will not be able to see overlapping day shifts, and vice versa.
If you have checked the above and are still unable to view shifts, your bank profile may have been made inactive. This can happen for a number of reasons, including:
- Mandatory training is overdue.
- You have not worked a bank shift within the last six months.
- You have been involved in an incident that requires review.
In these circumstances, you will have been contacted by email with further information. Please check your inbox carefully, including your junk or spam folder, before contacting the Temporary Staffing Team.
Question: How do I cancel a shift?
Answer: Up to 4 days prior to your shift you can cancel this through LOOP, click on the shift you wish to cancel and click cancel booking, you will need to select the correct reason for cancellation.
For cancellations of shifts with less than 4 days shift start time, within temporary staffing office hours please contact the temporary staffing office on 0151 471 2338.
Outside of temporary staffing office hours, please contact the area in which you have booked the shift and ask to speak with the person in charge of the shift. Please follow up this phone call with an email to tempstaffing@merseycare.nhs.uk
Please include in the email the time you made the call to the ward/team and who you spoke to. Mersey Care's switchboard number is 0151 473 0303, available 24/7 who will be able to put you through to the correct department.
