Congratulations to Hannah Dempsey and Meri Marin from the Greater Manchester Specialist Support Team (SST). The pair took part in the Manchester 10k last Sunday (26 September) to raise funds and awareness for FOP Friends, a UK charity raising awareness and supporting research for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva.
FOP is one of the rarest, most debilitating conditions known to medicine, affecting around one in two million people. Find out more information about this condition by watching this video narrated by Stephen Fry.
Hannah says "There is amazing research being done at the moment to find an effective treatment and we’re so pleased to have raised over £500 to help support this. Thank you to all our colleagues and friends who took the time to donate and raise awareness!"
