Trust Chair Rosie Cooper visited the brand new Life Rooms in Ashworth earlier this month. Rosie joined Trish Bennet, Elaine Darbyshire and secure leads to see the new facility in action for the first time.
They met patients, watched their musical and comedy performances, and saw how the Life Rooms model is applied in high secure environment.
The familiar Life Rooms branding, rainbow display and even cupcakes were on show as Steve Carragher, Gary Thorpe, Tori Wolfendale and Tracey Williamson introduced NHSE commissioners and guests to the service. It was a positive and successful launch although most of the scene stealing was done by the two lovely pet therapy dogs!
