The Liverpool Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) team held a celebration event on 4 December at Granby Children’s Centre, attended by young families and their children. The highlights included a visit from Father Christmas (portrayed by Nursing Associate Phil Bennett) and a Christmas singalong led by family nurse Helen Longworth. Attendees enjoyed crafts, play, and time to connect with other families.
Cath Creed, FNP Supervisor, emphasized the importance of the event for fostering community and strengthening bonds with family nurses. Following the celebration, the team conducted their annual review, presenting key achievements, data, and service activities to public health commissioners and stakeholders. They showcased case studies, a client’s testimony, and successful initiatives in areas like contraception access and smoking cessation.
The FNP team expressed enthusiasm for continuing to support vulnerable communities through the 0-19 clinical program under Mersey Care and Alder Hey’s leadership.
