What is “Burnout to Balance”?

“Burnout to Balance” is a practical, stigma-free session created for colleagues who are feeling the strain of ongoing workplace pressures.

This session goes beyond the usual “be more resilient” message. Instead, it acknowledges the real challenges our workforce face working in the NHS.

In the sessions you will learn:
  • What burnout is (and why it’s not your fault),
  • Find more about realistic, simple strategies to help you spot the warning signs
  • How to re-set boundaries, and regain a sense of control and wellbeing, both at work and at home.
You’ll leave with:
  • A clear understanding of burnout and its impact on your mental and physical health
  • Tools to recognise burnout in yourself and others
  • Simple, actionable steps to protect your wellbeing
  • Information on where to find further support

This session is about empowering you to look after yourself, your colleagues and your team, because your wellbeing is essential, not optional.

The expected duration of the session is approximately 90 minutes and run over Teams.

Comments from colleagues who have attended a session

''I really valued time to discuss and share own experiences with other attendees with the presenter helping us to make sense of our experiences and understand them. Time to be listened to and to be heard, and to share, knowing I'm not alone. I had a few lightbulb moments, and very much understand burnout, how it presents in me, and not to bury my head.''

''Was a great session, very thoughtful and covered all aspects of work and life. For the diverse people who attended we all felt seen and heard. It also gave us permission to make ourselves the priority and find balance.''
