November is Mouth Cancer Awareness Month: last week the staff at River Alt PDS Dental Service acknowledged ‘Blue Wednesday’: a day dedicated to raising awareness of mouth cancer as part of Mouth Cancer Action Month.
We want to get the message across to patients and all the staff working in Mersey Care, the importance of looking out for the tell tale signs:
- Mouth ulcers that don’t heal
- White or red patches in the mouth
- Persistent sore throat
- Bad breath
- Pain or difficulty swallowing
- Unexplained weight loss
- Lumps in the mouth, head or neck
- Speech problems
