Due to a change in the AfC mileage rate coming into effect on 1 January 2026 please do not input expenses for claims pre and post January 2026 on the same claim. If input on the same claim, mileage related prior to 1 January 2026 could revert to a lower rate per mile putting you at a financial deficit for this claim due to all mileage automatically being paid at the effective end date of the claim.
Please enter all expenses undertook up to 31 December 2025 inclusive on to one claim and submit. You will then need to start a new claim for any expenses incurred from 1 January 2026
Failing to comply with these instructions will result in an underpayment of your expenses.

The existing 4500 mile limit will remain as opposed to the 3500 standard AfC limit before any reduction to the mileage rate takes effect.
