FREE place up for grabs for Snowdon at Night Challenge!

Due to a fundraiser no longer being able to make it, we have a FREE place up for grabs for our Snowdon at Night fundraiser with Global Adventures in August!

It’s an incredible fundraising challenge that will see you tick off a bucket list adventure to climb Wales’ highest peak in time to see the sun rise over Snowdonia National Park.

Global Adventures mountain guides will be with you every step of the way – ascending the peak by head torch on a walk that takes around 3.5 hours. Following your trek back down, you’ll enjoy a celebratory breakfast and be awarded a certificate to verify your achievement.

The Snowdon at Night Challenge takes place on 1 August 2026 and offers the chance to do something amazing to support our mental health and community services beyond the limitations of NHS budgets – or you could even raise funds for your own service (providing the project meets our fundraising criteria.)

It really is an incredible opportunity – and we’d love to see someone flying the flag for Mersey Cares at the summit! The free place will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Last year Dr Katarzyna S. Adamczyk, (Kasia), a Specialist Counselling Psychologist in Gender, who works with the Trans Support Service, took on the challenge.

She said, “I promised myself I’d begin to do some of the things that I have wanted to do but did not have the time or resources. I wanted to do something for myself, and push myself. I love challenges, and the sense of contributing and making a difference.

“My hiking challenge was in honour of the young people I support, to remind them - and all of us - that they each have something valuable and beautiful to offer the world.”
