Sapphire Ward is based at Ancora House at the Countess of Chester Health Park and provided by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP).

Sapphire Ward is a small, specialist inpatient unit designed for young people who require the highest level of care, complementing existing Eating Disorder Service in the community.

Referrals to Sapphire Inpatients are made via the CHEDS team from community eating disorder services within Cheshire and Merseyside for young people with a diagnosis of an eating disorder.

The Mersey Care specialist children’s eating disorder service, based at Knowsley Resource and Recovery Centre on Whiston Hospital site treats and supports children and young people aged 8 to 18 years old living in HaltonKnowsleySt Helens, and Warrington boroughs with symptoms of an eating disorder and their families and carers.
