Homeless Health Team was proud to attend St Helens Pride, standing alongside the community to celebrate inclusion, diversity, and equality. Events like Pride are a vital reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and supported. As a service working closely with people experiencing homelessness, the Team recognises the significant challenges faced by people who are LGBTQ+. Research shows that almost one in five LGBTQ+ people have experienced homelessness at some point in their lives.
The Team had a fantastic time engaging with the community, sharing information and promoting health and wellbeing in an open and welcoming environment. It was especially heartwarming to see the joy and togetherness throughout the day, including a lovely moment when a young girl won Billy the Teddy, bringing smiles to everyone around.
