What is the pharmacy prescription tracking system?
The pharmacy prescription tracking system uses barcode technology to track prescriptions, providing real time insights into pharmacy operations.
Process
- Staff book in prescriptions and a barcode is generated.
- Each step of the dispensing process like clinical check and labelling are recorded using the barcode.
- Real-time updates on prescription status and completion time are available to ward and community locations.
- There are opportunities for further optimisation using outpatient SMS notifications and deliveries tracked using a smartphone app.
