What is the pharmacy prescription tracking system?

Screenshot_5-6-2025_12210_www.tmsinsight.com.jpegThe pharmacy prescription tracking system uses barcode technology to track prescriptions, providing real time insights into pharmacy operations.

Process

  1. Staff book in prescriptions and a barcode is generated.
  2. Each step of the dispensing process like clinical check and labelling are recorded using the barcode.
  3. Real-time updates on prescription status and completion time are available to ward and community locations.
  4. There are opportunities for further optimisation using outpatient SMS notifications and deliveries tracked using a smartphone app.
