On Thursday 30 September Brunswick ward will be holding a charity event to support Marie Curie. This will be held in the main reception area of Broadoak unit after lunch time.

Staff and patients will be holding a cake sale, a name the teddy dog game and a raffle for a signed picture of Steven Gerrard. Ticket prices will be £1 for the large teddy dog and £2 for the chance to win the signed picture. Please note, the raffle will be open for a week, ending on 7 October. Cake prices will vary as bakers take part in their very own Brunswick bake off.

A message from the team: "All proceeds will be donated to Marie Curie which is a charity very close to everyone on our ward, especially to one member of staff in particular, Danielle, our activity worker who has just celebrated being 5 years cancer free last week and is extremely grateful for all the help and support that was offered during her journey.

We all know someone who has sadly been diagnosed with cancer and experienced the journey it takes them on. This is why this charity in particular is so important. So please dig deep and come and support us so Marie Curie can continue to support those who really need it."

For any one who would like to make a contribution or a donation please contact the ward on 0151 250 5075
