Sadly, a scheduled visit by Metro Mayor, Steve Rotheram was cancelled. However, that didn’t stop Professor Nic Wilson, Professor Dan Joyce, Assistant Chief Executive Alison Walshe and Chief Executive Officer Joe Rafferty (pictured), being given a tour of our new suite by Consultant Psychiatrist at the service, Richard Barnes, now that the suite’s fully equipped and operational, providing treatment for difficult to treat depression.
It’s a unique service due to the onsite facility to carry out research so there’s no disruption to clinical provision and willing service users can take part in research at the same place where they’ll receive treatment.
