Wound product formulary update

We are committed to supporting the provision of quality care for the management of patients with wounds. We have recently reviewed and updated the wound product formulary.

The aim of the formulary is:

• To promote cost effective, evidence based wound care practice to optimise patient care
• To promote continuity and rational wound care prescribing practices by clinicians employed within Mersey Care.
• Whilst useful prescribing information has been included in this formulary, for full product information refer to individual manufacturer guidance.    
• ONPOS (for Mid-Mersey) will change, and an electronic Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) will be attached to each wound care dressing
