From the 1 August, 350 Recognising the Deteriorating Child (POPS and Sepsis), will be an annual training requirement as agreed by the Workforce Development Education and Training Group (WDETG) and Operational Management Group.
This is following consultation with subject matter experts. The 350 Recognising the Deteriorating Child (POPS and Sepsis) will be added to colleagues training records to complete training face to face session facilitated by the Clinical Skills Team initially.
Course advertisement will follow and be accessed by the Learning and Development Prospectus.
The staff identified to complete the training in Community Care Division are:
- All staff employed to work with Walk-in Centres and Urgent Treatment Centres
- All staff in the Community Childrens Nursing Team (CCNT) and within Special Schools
Renewal of the competence will be part of the Paediatric Immediate Life Support training.
