Elaine Darbyshire, Chief Communications, Estates, and Engagement officer is laying down her to-do list and hard hat and will retire during the summer.
Elaine joined Mersey Care 11 years ago and during her time has achieved some notable successes including leading the application for Foundation Trust status and the Trust’s acquisition of Calderstones Foundation Trust, overseeing the build of five award winning state of the art new hospitals, the evolution of the Life Rooms into a leading service to support people with the social impact of mental health, setting up and running the Zero Suicide Alliance, which has now trained over 2.6m people nationally in suicide prevention and has a global partner network, and last but by no means least, firmly instilling high quality communications in the DNA of the Trust.
Prof Joe Rafferty said “Elaine has been front and centre to the development of Mersey Care right from when she joined, shortly after me. She has been a talented and hugely effective leader and I am personally grateful for her support since 2013. On behalf of the executive team, I wish her the very best.”
We wish you well for the future.
