After 33 years at Mersey Care, Lynn King, Occupational Therapist and Trust Wide Strategic Recovery and Allied Health Professions Lead, is retiring.
Lynn's colleagues want to thank her for all her support, passion and invaluable advice over the years.
Lynn’s colleagues wish her well in her retirement and have shared some messages below.
Thank you Lynn for all your hard work and for your commitment to high quality care for service users and staff in Merseycare. Thank you for all the kindness and compassion shown. Wishing you a long and very happy life in retirement.
Lynn, thank you for all your support over the past few years, it really has been appreciated. I hope your retirement is everything you wish it to be and have a well-earned rest.
I have worked around Lynn for many years in various trusts and her support and passion for the profession has always been an inspiration to me. Thank you Lynn for your support and commitment both to me and our profession especially since me joining the Mersey Care family.

Lynn! You are the last of the classic Mersey Care managers who I remember when I started in 2008. Thanks for all your support over the years you have definitely helped me on my physio journey and made me understand the importance of including service users fully. I will miss you but definitely you deserve a rest and I hope you enjoy your retirement!

Very sad to see you go and will very much miss having you around for your wise counsel and support. Very proud of all your achievements in using your Occupational Therapy skills and knowledge for your early ground breaking work in relation to the early models of delivering innovative models to access therapeutic courses post discharge from hospital and from the community; which I believe, was instrumental in adoption and investment in the ‘life rooms’ model.
I appreciate all your work in relation to using the expertise of working with people with lived experience. You have been a role model in relation to working collaboratively working.
Thank you for your work in delivering an AHP structure within Mersey Care NHS Trust we really appreciate having a lead AHP post in the structure.
I will really miss knowing you are around, you have been my phone a friend and a lifeline when times have been challenging. Enjoy your deserved and well-earned retirement

Dear Lynn, Thank you for all your personal and professional support over the past 30 years, from when I was a student at Mossley Hill Hospital within your team. You have always flown the flag for AHPs within the Trust and been steadfast in your passion and commitment to us all. I wish you well for your future, enjoy, it is very much deserved.
