Urgent Care Mental Health Services came together last week for a highly productive away day, focusing on their journey so far and future developments. The event was jointly led by Dr Qaiser Javed, Clinical Director for Urgent Care, and Gill Wilson, Head of Operations, and was attended by Urgent Care Consultants and Specialty Doctors from across the service.
The day featured an impressive lineup of guest speakers, including Trish Bennett, CEO of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, renowned expert Professor Nav Kapur, and Dr. Mark Barsoum. Their insights helped frame discussions on improving service delivery, enhancing patient safety, and shaping the future direction of urgent care mental health services.
Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions and workshops, reflecting on progress made and identifying key priorities moving forward. Feedback from staff was overwhelmingly positive, with many valuing the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and gain inspiration from the expert speakers.
Dr Javed expressed gratitude to all who attended and contributed, emphasising that the event marked an important step in driving forward innovation and excellence in urgent care mental health services.
