Secure Care is a Division of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, where we support patients and service users in the least restrictive setting, as close to home as possible and with a stronger focus on recovery.
Mersey Care is one of only three NHS Trusts in the country to provide high secure services, with our catchment area covering Wales and the North West and West Midlands of England.
We also provide medium and low secure services, community forensic services and mental health services in a number of prisons. Many of our services are located on Maghull Health Park, which offers one of the largest concentrations of clinical expertise in secure care in Europe and we have locations in Liverpool and Hollins Park in Warrington.
As well as mental health care, we offer specialist learning disability services providing treatment for adults with a learning disability or other development disorder. We support people with significant and complex needs both in inpatient settings and through community based services.

The staff wellbeing hub is the Trust’s home for all wellbeing information to support its workforce. The hub is part of our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services wellbeing offer.
Looking after ourselves and supporting our colleagues are two of the most important things, we can do to enable us to continue to provide the best care for our service users.
The hub is a live and evolving portal for all things staff wellbeing and aims to support staff by signposting to information, advice, tips and specialist services.
