The Community Care Division has an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and operationally manage the Sefton Diabetes Service within Sefton Place, being accountable for the performance, quality, and clinical working for a fixed term period.

A key outcome of the role is to support your team to understand and deliver high quality care, recognise and respond to patient safety concerns and identify, assess and manage risk. The post holder is expected to act as a role model to the team, whilst actively supporting integration. Please note, that whilst some experience and knowledge of diabetes and diabetes management would be beneficial, you are not required to have previous experience of working within diabetes to apply for this fixed-term post. As the Sefton Diabetes Service Team Leader, you will work closely with the Sefton Place Senior Leadership Team to develop an effective and highly performing team, driving service improvements that meet patient need and promoting the team as a positive place for staff experience and development.

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the team with delegated responsibility for budgetary management, all aspects of quality and performance management and communicating with the Senior leadership Team on service specific issues. The post holder is required to be a registered healthcare professional, with extensive experience of working at band 6 level. The postholder will demonstrate leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. You will need experience in managing conflict, collaborative working and balancing demand for resources with availability.
