As agreed with the Trust IPC, all staff passing through our high, medium and low secure service receptions are required to wear a mask. These are busy single points of entry at staff handovers and have clinical and non-clinical staff passing through.
Staff working in the high secure receptions will also be required to wear masks because of the volume of contact with clinical staff and physical contact searching requirements.
In medium and low secure receptions wearing of face masks for reception staff will be a personal choice issue in line with the Trust instructions based on lower staffing in these areas and minimal direct contact with clinical staff.
This will be reviewed in line with any further Trust wide instructions.
