About YourInsights
YourInsights is Mersey Care's new digital front door for Business Intelligence (BI) data and reports.
YourInsights enhances the way you access Trust-wide data and reports and will help you get greater benefit from the data we capture to transform the way we work and deliver care.
On this page you will find further information about YourInsights. A step-by-step training guide and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are also available to help you get the most benefit from this new way of accessing BI data and reports.
YourInsights acts as a single access point or ‘directory’ for BI reports, with access controlled using your Microsoft login.
From YourInsights, you can:
- Locate data and reports using a keyword search without needing to visit the individual BI systems (BiT, IMP, Opera) or know the report title.
- Bookmark frequently used reports for quick access.
- Discover new and featured reports from the BI Service.
- Review a summary of your current access permissions.
- Submit report requests and access support through the BI Hub.
BI reports are currently created for very specific purposes. This has resulted in hundreds of different reports being produced which are not always presented in the same way, making them difficult to compare.
The BI Service is consolidating data into standardised formats to be available through interactive dashboards on YourInsights.
These dashboards will gradually replace the current BI system reports (on BiT, IMP, and Opera), offering a more reliable and user-friendly way of accessing and analysing data.
From the new interactive dashboards, you will be able to:
- View and compare multiple metrics on one screen.
- Choose your own metrics and filters and save bookmarks for quick access.
- Share interactive dashboard views with others. For example, in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Access reports aligned to key frameworks such as the Operational Excellence Framework.
- Support ‘floor to board’ planning and data-driven decision-making.
The phased introduction of dashboards will begin in autumn 2024 and will continue as an ongoing development, with a transition period for feedback before old reports are phased out
