This week we welcomed 15 students into the Trust as part of our 3rd year student nurse community internship and MECO opportunity. The students will be completing their placements with the Trust with a view to being recruited and joining our clinical teams to pursue a career in community nursing on qualification.
So far we have successfully supported 50 students on the internship with 39 of them securing jobs within the Trust. The initiative has gained recognition from the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the Nurse & Midwifery Council (NMC).
We look forward to supporting Cohort 4 as they progress and become our future qualified nurses.
