Our gender identity clinic (Transcend) will be open to direct referrals from Monday 27 October 2025.
This service provides flexible support options for a number of assessments, such as diagnosis of gender incongruence, psychology, hormone therapy, voice therapy, hair removal and gender affirming surgery.
GPs and other healthcare professionals can now refer patients directly into the service or individuals can refer themselves, as long as they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Are aged 17 years or above
- Live in Cheshire and Merseyside
- Are not on another Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) waiting list
GP’s wishing to refer a patient will have to complete the same referral form and send via email. We are currently in the process of creating a pathway for direct referrals via EMIS and will update once this is available.
