A Mersey Care colleague has been recognised by the University of Liverpool for her exceptional commitment to supporting undergraduate medical students during their placements at the Trust.

Nicola Gurrell, Medical Workforce Co-ordinator (Undergraduate), received a Letter of Recognition after being nominated by student doctors who praised the support, guidance and encouragement she provided throughout their time at Mersey Care.

Working closely with clinical teams and university partners, Nicola plays a vital role in ensuring medical placements run seamlessly and that students feel welcomed. Her dedication helps create a positive and rewarding learning environment for the doctors of tomorrow.

The recognition also highlights the invaluable contribution of the wider undergraduate Medical Workforce team, whose work behind the scenes ensures students receive high-quality educational experiences across the Trust.
