Specialist Child Health Inclusion Nurses Sue McCormick and Sandra Davies recently welcomed Trish Bennett, Chief Executive, for a day of shadowing to gain a first hand insight into their vital work.
During the visit, Trish spent time with families from travelling communities and in hostel accommodation for newly arrived asylum seekers, meeting alongside partner agencies to better understand the challenges families face and the support available.
Reflecting on the day, Trish expressed her sincere gratitude for the opportunity, describing the experience as both uplifting and truly inspiring. She also thanked the families for their openness and generosity in sharing their experiences, which made the day especially meaningful.
This visit highlighted the powerful impact of the team’s work in reaching some of our most marginalised children and families, and the importance of compassionate, inclusive care at the heart of our communities.
