All multidisciplinary team members can refer to our rTMS service, for ECT a referral from a Mersey Care consultant psychiatrist is needed
Our Neuromodulation Service supports service users with severe and treatment resistant depression, whose illness causes significant functional impairment or presents increased clinical risk. It’s a specialist service delivered from our purpose built Neuromodulation Suite.
Referrals of current service users are considered from all members of Mersey Care's multidisciplinary team for rTMS. (For ECT, a referral from a Mersey Care consultant psychiatrist's needed). The requirement is that the service user remains under the care of the referring team while receiving treatment and that the responsible consultant is aware of the referral.
