June is national Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History month and to help celebrate these communities, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team have secured a second webinar following the event that was held in mid-March, to promote awareness around Irish culture and the work of Irish community Care (ICC). In the June webinar, the focus will be on on how we can understand and better meet the needs of Roma and Irish traveller communities.
There will be two specialist speakers who will be presenting at the webinar. Alexandra Bahor who is the Community Inclusion Delivery Manager at Mersey Care will be presenting around Roma communities. Win Lawlor who is the Strategic Policy and Partnerships Lead at Irish Community Care (ICC) will be presenting around Irish Traveller communities. ICC who are based in Liverpool, have been working with Irish and Traveller communities for over 60 years.
