From Monday, 10 November, the 350 Food Hygiene and Allergens Level 2 eLearning training is being introduced to ensure compliance with National Food Standards and best practice requirements.

Key learning outcomes include:

  • Food safety awareness and allergen management
  • Basic nutrition and hydration principles
  • Malnutrition awareness and special diets
  • Safe food handling and food hygiene
  • Food presentation and assisting patients with eating

Training will be mandatory with a 3 yearly refresher period for:

Mental Health Care Division

Inpatient colleagues - Nursing bands 2 to 7

Secure Care Division

Inpatient colleagues – Nursing bands 2 to 7

Community Care Division

Longmoor House – Nursing bands 2 to 7

All Community based teams - 

Occupational Therapists and Assistants bands 2 to 7

Speech and Language Therapists and Assistants bands 2 to 7
