Only Microsoft Copilot Chat and Microsoft Copilot are approved AI tools for use at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. These must be accessed via your NHS Microsoft account and used responsibly - never for clinical decision-making or patient care. Unapproved tools like ChatGPT or Otter AI must not be used for work. If third-party AI tools are present in meetings discussing sensitive information, they must be disabled. This guidance was issued via a ‘Need to Know’ email on 22 August 2025 — staff should refer to that message for full details and further support.
