Clock View

This OT week, Clock View staff reflect on occupational therapy events that have taken place at the hospital over the course of the last year.

Philharmonic (music) x 2.jpgThe occupational therapy team collaborated with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic to demonstrate the power of music with live music sessions for service users. Service users were encouraged to sing along in the sessions and also given the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity through active music making.

Pottery - photo 3.jpgThe occupational therapy team teamed up with bluecoat to enable service users to participate in pottery sessions to support and promote their mental wellbeing and provide an opportunity for self-expression. The feedback was extremely positive for service users and staff who have supported them with the activities too.

The occupational therapy team worked with Hugh Baird college on a health and wellbeing day where health and wellbeing students provided “pamper sessions” (manicures and hand massages) to service users and staff to promote self care. The day was met with great success!.

This week they ran afternoon activity session in the Tick Tock Café at Clock View in celebration of all things OT. We have also been discussing what occupational therapy means to service users and staff and how it can support service users in their recovery!.
