Advance notice of changes to minor works approval processes
In support of our financial plan and making efficiencies, from 1 September 2025, the process for approving minor works is changing and will require divisional approval.
Minor works are defined as anything other than general building maintenance i.e. painting and decorating are minor works, but replacing lights and fixing radiators are not.
Prior to submitting your request on the Estates 3i portal, users will be asked to complete a simple Microsoft form, once completed this will be automatically submitted to a divisional lead for their approval.
Once your request has been approved by your divisional lead, you will receive a notification containing a log ID number, you can now proceed and log the job on the Estates 3i system.
Any requests on the Estates 3i system without the log number will be rejected and cancelled by the estates and facilities helpdesk team.
The Estates Requests area on YourSpace will be updated ready for going live on 1 September.
