It’s not that long ago that Zara Musker was named as one of the top five best players in Europe. Zara (daughter of Whalley site’s very own Julia Musker), plays pivot or winger position.
Last October she was part of the European Futsal Championship – scoring 10 goals to help England beat Spain in the finals.
Zara lost all her hearing in July 2020 and now has an implant.
This week she was named Deaf Sports Personality of the Year – and wants to thank everyone who voted for her to achieve the prestigious accolade against some stiff competition. Well done Zara and tissues please to proud mum Julia!
