After lifetimes of nursing (79 years between them), Rachel Bilsbury and Noirin Smith decided to have a well earned rest and retire. Fortunately, they decided to return to the Mental Health Care Division on a job share and we’re extremely lucky to keep their knowledge and expertise as Senior Clinical Nurses. We hope they enjoy their partial retirement spending time with families and travelling.
Noirin's spent most of her nursing career within inpatients and was instrumental in the development of Clock View Hospital in Walton. In recent years she’s developed the Divisional Induction Programme ensuring all our new starters are welcomed warmly and with the knowledge they need to begin their career with us.
Rachel's spent most of her career in the community and recalls her time spent with the Assertive Outreach Team as one of the most rewarding. In recent years, as Deputy Associate Director of Nursing, she’s been instrumental in developing Advanced Clinical Pathways and supporting career progression for our nurses.
