The development of the new Community Equipment Service (Mersey Reach) continues into its final phase. Work is currently being undertaken on a new state of the art meeting room and training facility which will be available for all community staff.

The new training facility will provide support and education to over 2,000 prescribers of equipment in areas such as pressure care and use of products, whilst also looking to target those areas deemed high risk in respect of gaps in skills and competency.
The service will also be introducing a new ‘click and collect’ area to enable prescribers to arrange collection of equipment from store to take directly to patients on visits. There will be direct access to the ‘special equipment area’ to view available stock and trial equipment with patients in the training facility. 

It is anticipated works will be complete by end of January 2024 and further updates on the grand opening will follow.
