Sefton at work Award Win Care Leavers Support Oct 25.jpeg

Sefton’s children and young people and families Admin Team won an award last week from Sefton at Work (Sefton Council) for ‘Caring Business: Exemplary Health and Wellbeing Support’.

The award exemplifies what it means to be a caring business, particularly offering patience, support and opportunities for care leavers to overcome fears and thrive.

Sefton@Work said: “Their impact is both profound and inspiring”.

Rachel Westbury, Office Manager and Louise Leatherbarrow, Deputy Operational Administration Manager are pictured with their award at the ceremony.

Louise said: “We are honoured to receive this award for supporting young people in care to find meaningful employment with the Care Leavers Apprenticeship Programme. It’s a privilege to play a part in helping care leavers build confidence, develop skills, and take steps towards a brighter future. This recognition is not just for Mersey Care - it reflects the dedication of everyone involved in creating opportunities and removing barriers for care experienced young people."
