The Mersey Care Data Academy - launching April 2025
As a Trust we are data rich, and we have recognised an opportunity to upskill our workforce and give you the skills you need to maximise the value from this growing resource.
Mersey Care Data Academy launches this April and is open to all staff regardless of role, and no prior experience is needed - you just need to work with data for over five hours per week and want to grow your data skills.
Our Data Academy is hosted by Multiverse and will help you:
- Make better data driven decisions
- Improve efficiency by reducing manual data processes
- Optimise YourInsights
- Future proof your skills.
You will be able to find out more about the programme in the upcoming information sessions.

- Enable data driven decision making to drive efficiencies and identify cost saving opportunities
- Futureproof teams and build critical, digital and data capabilities

We're partnering with Multiverse, Ofsted Outstanding experts in this field, to deliver this training. Multiverse work closely with over 80 different NHS organisations, with individuals from a wide range of roles and skill levels (ranging from clinical, operational, corporate to administrative).

- There are different programmes on offer and no prior experience is needed
- Whether you’re new to data, looking to advance your analytical capabilities or want to learn predictive modelling - we encourage you to find out more by clicking this link.
- This opportunity is open to all roles e.g. operational, clinical and technical functions
- You just need to spend 5 hours per week with data
- If you work with data, or use data to make decisions (or would like to begin to) - this is for you
- No prior experience is required.
- 13 month programme
- No exams
- 3 hours per month scheduled learning
- An emphasis on putting new skills into practice as part of your day to day role.
- Virtual workshops delivered each month
- Expert 1:1 coaching from data experts
- Access to exclusive events with other learners.
A more advanced course is also available for those in more data intensive roles.
- 3 hours per week of learning
- A mix of self-paced study, coaching sessions and monthly workshops
- Learners are saving 7.4 hours/week from the programme, and on average are saving 3 hours/week by month 3 - meaning by month 3, you should be saving the same amount of time you are committing to a programme
- You’ll gain new, in-demand skills and qualifications for the future
- By taking up this opportunity, the Trust is investing up to £18,000 in your professional development
