After 25 years working in the NHS, we’re saying a fond farewell to our colleague and friend, Nikki Orrell, Clinical Service Manager, Core 24. Nikki began her career working as a nurse on our inpatient wards, where her compassion and focus on patient care became clear to everyone around her. She moved onto the assessment team, bringing the same dedication to quality and patient outcomes.

Over the years she took on new challenges, working as a clinical lead and then a matron. Most recently Nikki’s been managing Core 24 teams across our busy AEDs - a role that demands resilience, calmness under pressure and unwavering commitment, to make sure our patients get the care they need.

At every stage of her career, Nikki has stayed true to what matters most - putting patients first and at the heart of everything she does. We want to thank Nikki for everything she’s given to colleagues, the NHS and mostly, the patients whose lives she’s touched. We will miss Nikki and wish her every happiness as she moves onto new adventures.
